Balblair – 12 Years (70cl, 46%)

This is a 12-year-old Highland single malt from Balblair, first released in 2019 and bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It matured first in American ex-bourbon casks, then in double-charred American oak casks. The nose offers elegant lemon, creamy vanilla and fresh green apples. On the palate come ground spices and dried orange slices wrapped in rich honey sweetness. The finish is medium in length, creamy and leathery, with a note of sweet vanilla.
