Balblair – 15 Year Old Equinox & Solstice Summer 2023 Edition (70cl, 48.5%)

This is the Summer 2023 Edition of the Equinox & Solstice series, a Balblair single malt in a 700ml bottle. It is a small batch vatting of two first-fill barrels filled in 2008, bottled at 15 years old and at the series' usual strength of 48.5%. The label artwork is by Skye-based artist Ellis O'Connor, who drew on the colours of long, luminous Scottish summer nights. The whisky is described as easy and luscious, with plenty of Balblair's green fruit and a rich, creamy quality from the first-fill barrels. It can be sipped neat or used in a highball with ice and soda.
