This Balblair was distilled in 1986 and matured for 38 years in a refill American hogshead, cask 12484. Gordon & MacPhail bottled it on 23 April 2025 for the Connoisseurs Choice range, at a cask strength of 50.6% in a 70cl bottle.
It is a single cask release of 114 bottles, non-chill-filtered and without added colour.
The nose offers lemon peel, green apples and floral notes with a trace of wax. On the palate, sweet pineapple meets almonds and marzipan, with white pepper and a light oak note. The finish is long, warm and creamy, with stewed pears and a touch of wood.
