A single cask Balblair from the Highlands, distilled in 2011 and bottled in 2022 at 10 years old by Douglas Laing for their Old Particular range. It is bottled at 48.4% in a 70cl bottle, without colouring or chill filtration.
The whisky matured in cask DL15593, a gently sherried refill butt, and gave 561 bottles.
The nose is sweet lemon, Madeira cake, milk chocolate and green apple. The palate brings fresh malted barley, runny honey, icing sugar and nutmeg, and the finish follows with ginger biscuits, vanilla ice cream, golden syrup and more light spice.
