A 25-year-old Balblair single malt from the Highland distillery at Edderton. It matures first in ex-bourbon casks of American oak and then in casks of Spanish oak. It is bottled at 46% in natural colour, without chill-filtration.
The nose has overripe apricots and dark liquorice with polished oak and a hint of saddle wax. The palate is full and oily, with citrus fruit and chocolate praline alongside fresh tobacco leaf. The finish is warming and soft, ending on chocolate and blood orange.
