This is a 38-year-old Balblair single malt from the Highlands, distilled in 1986 and bottled in 2025 for Gordon & MacPhail's Connoisseurs Choice range.
It matured in a single refill American hogshead, cask number 12484, and was bottled without chill-filtration and with its natural colour.
The nose combines lemon zest and green apple with a waxy note and light floral touches. On the palate come ripe pineapple, marzipan and almonds, with a little white pepper. The finish is long and velvety, ending on poached pears.
