Ballechin 10 Year Old 2013 New Vibrations Bourbon Barrel 1st Fill (70cl, 57.7%)

This is a 10 year old peated Highland single malt from Ballechin, the peated malt made at Edradour since 2002. It was distilled on 11 January 2013 and matured in a first-fill bourbon barrel until it was bottled on 6 July 2023, at 57.7% in a 70cl bottle. The edition is called New Vibrations and was limited to 223 bottles. The peat is strong, at a phenol level of 50 ppm, and sits alongside a deeply malted character, with floral and fruity tones running through the aromas and flavours.
