Ballechin 10 Years Old Heavily Peated Highland Single Malt (70cl, 46%)

Ballechin 10 Years Old is a heavily peated Highland single malt, made at Edradour Distillery, which has produced the Ballechin style since 2003. The barley is infused with peat to a level of not less than 50ppm. The whisky is mostly matured in ex-Bourbon casks, with a generous addition of ex-Oloroso sherry casks for added depth and complexity. It is bottled at 46%, without chill-filtration, to keep the true cask character, in a 70cl bottle. The name comes from a Perthshire farm distillery that closed in 1927.
