Ballechin 10 Years is a peated single malt from the Edradour distillery. It was matured mainly in bourbon casks, with a small share of Oloroso casks, and the spirit was peated to around 50 ppm.
It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and without added colour.
The palate is spicy and fresh-sweet, with fruit, caramel and cinnamon alongside strong peat smoke. The finish is long and sweet, and the smoky peat stays for a good while.
