Ballechin is the heavily peated malt made at Edradour, and this 15 year old was bottled by Signatory Vintage for its Un-chillfiltered Collection. It was distilled in September 2010 and matured in first fill bourbon barrels, then bottled in March 2026 at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
The nose is earthy peat smoke with ripe fruit, honey and vanilla. On the palate come intense smoke, creamy vanilla, white pepper and dark chocolate, in an oily texture.
The finish is long, with lingering smoke, spicy oak and bitter chocolate.
