A 15 year old heavily peated single malt from Edradour distillery, bottled at a cask strength of 58.9% ABV as the first small batch release of 2022.
It matured in a combination of first-fill bourbon casks and second-fill oloroso sherry casks, and the peating level is at least 50 ppm.
The palate is described as autumn berries, baking spices, earthy peat, oaky vanilla and crystallised ginger, with tobacco, ash and earthy notes alongside. The smoke lingers long after the last sip.
