This is a 15 year old Highland single malt from the Ballechin make of Edradour, bottled by Whisky Sponge as the second of its Secret Sponge editions. It is a vatting of equal parts of Whisky Sponge Editions 36A, 36B and 36C, reduced to 48.5% ABV, and only 121 bottles were filled.
Three casks went into it: a first-fill barrel, a refill fino sherry butt and a second-fill sherry hogshead.
It is described as big, earthy, sooty and deeply smoky, with a good balance between the three cask types.
