Ballechin 18 Year Old Heavily Peated Cask Strength Edition Batch 1 (70cl, 54.9%)

Ballechin 18 Year Old is a heavily peated Highland single malt from Edradour, bottled at cask strength as Batch 1. It was matured for eighteen years in traditional bourbon barrels and is neither coloured nor chill-filtered. Ballechin is the name under which Edradour, founded in 1825, bottles its most heavily peated malts. The spirit is distilled from malt with a smoke level of at least 50 ppm. Peat smoke is set against oak spice, with malt sweets, exotic fruit and warm caramel making up the balance.
