Ballechin 18 Year Old is a heavily peated Highland single malt bottled at cask strength, 50.9% ABV. Ballechin is the peated range from Edradour, and its malt is dried to a smoke level of at least 50 ppm. This is one of the oldest bottlings in the range. It spent a long maturation in traditional bourbon barrels, which bring oak spice alongside the peat smoke. It is typically described as balanced, with malt sweets, exotic fruit and warm caramel set against the smoke.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
