Ballechin 18 Years Old Cask Strength Edition is Batch 002, a heavily peated Highland single malt from Edradour, in a 70cl bottle at 57.8% abv. The barley was peated to at least 50 ppm during drying, and the spirit then matured in oak casks from the United States and Europe, none of them used for more than two maturation cycles. This batch combines sherry and bourbon casks, which set the whisky's inherent smokiness against sweet and spicy notes.
