This Ballechin comes from the heavily peated line made at Edradour. It was distilled in 2008, matured for 17 years in a first fill ruby port cask and bottled in 2026 by Signatory Vintage at a cask strength of 59.1%, in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
Ballechin's strong smoky character meets the influence of a first fill ruby port cask here. The long maturation is described as bringing together smoke, fruit, cask spice and a dense structure.
