Ballechin Cask Strength Collection First Fill Ruby Port Cask 17 Year Old 2008/2026 (59.1%)

Ballechin is the heavily peated malt made at Edradour in the Highlands, and this is a 17-year-old single cask bottling from Signatory Vintage's Cask Strength Collection. The whisky was filled into a first fill ruby port hogshead on 30 July 2008 and bottled on 16 July 2026, giving 259 bottles at 59.1% ABV. It is bottled without added colour and without chill filtration. The Ballechin peat character, given as over 50 ppm, meets a full maturation in ruby port, and the whisky is described as dense and powerful, set between peat smoke and dark fruit sweetness.
