Balvenie – 12 Year Old Single Barrel First Fill (70cl)

This is a 12 year old single malt from Balvenie, released in 2013 in a 70cl bottle. It was matured for at least 12 years in first-fill bourbon casks and bottled from a single cask, with no more than 300 bottles drawn from each. Every bottle is hand-numbered and labelled with its cask reference. The nose is toasted and sweet, with charred oak, spice, maple syrup, allspice, vanilla and sweet coffee. The palate is thick, with allspice, toffee apples, cooked fruit, baking spices, sponge cake and creamy caramel. The finish is long, with lingering sweetness and spice.
