Balvenie – 12 Year Old The Sweet Toast of American Oak (70cl, 43%)

This is a 12 year old Speyside single malt from Balvenie, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It is matured in American oak, and the name points to that cask influence. The house character of Balvenie is given a sweeter turn here, with stronger coconut and warm honey notes running through it. The tasting notes describe caramelised fruits, delicate vanilla and oak, with a distinctly fruity flavour.
