Balvenie – 12 Years Old Signature Batch 5 Scotch Single Malt Whisky, Signed by David Stewart (70cl, 40%)

Balvenie Signature 12 Years Old Batch 5 is a Speyside single malt, the last batch of the Signature 12 release, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It replaced Founders Reserve 10 Years Old as the core release in the distillery's range. It matured in three kinds of cask: first-fill bourbon barrels, refill bourbon barrels and oloroso sherry butts. This bottle was signed by David C Stewart, then Balvenie's malt master. Honey, spices and traditional oak mark the style, and it is described as polished and mellow.
