Balvenie 14 Year Old Week of Peat is a Speyside single malt from the Balvenie Stories series. It was matured for fourteen years in American oak casks and bottled at 48.3% ABV, in a 70cl bottle.
Balvenie distils a peated malt during one week each year, and this bottling pairs that peat with the round, honeyed character of the distillery.
The nose offers gentle peat smoke, honey, vanilla, apple and a hint of flowers. The palate is round and sweet, with honey, pear, candied lemon and an enveloping smoke. The finish is long, with smoke, soft spices and oak.
