Balvenie 21 Year Old PortWood is a 21-year-old single malt finished in port wood. It is the leading whisky in the distillery's Port Wood range and was first released in 1996. It is fruity with a delicate smokiness, and is suggested as an after-dinner dram.
The nose is elegant, with white peach and a little smoke. The palate is gentle, with cranberry and stewed raspberry, some white grape juice and barley. The finish brings cocoa with a slight bitterness, fading gracefully.
