Balvenie Rare Marriages 25 Year Old is a Speyside single malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 48% without chill-filtration or added colour.
It brings together whiskies from selected European and American oak casks, each matured for at least 25 years. Malt Master David C. Stewart MBE then married them in large traditional oak vats.
The nose offers mild autumn fruit, liquid honey, candied ginger and raw cane sugar, with a firm oak note. On the palate, vanilla and oak give way to toasted marshmallow, fruit terrine and cinnamon apple pie. The finish is very long and sweet.
