Balvenie – Caribbean Cask 14 Year Old (70cl)

Balvenie Caribbean Cask is a 14 year old single malt finished in casks that previously held Caribbean rum, in a 70cl bottle. It is a limited edition. The whisky matured for 14 years in traditional oak, then spent a few months in the rum casks. The result keeps the honeyed, vanilla character of The Balvenie and adds toffee and a hint of fruit. The nose is rich, sweet and creamy, with toffee and fresh fruit. The palate is rounded, with vanilla and sweet oak and a fruitiness that develops. The finish is soft and lingering.
