This is a Speyside single malt from Balvenie, bottled at 43%. It was the first bottling created by Malt Master David Stewart.
The whisky is first matured in traditional oak casks and then finished in Oloroso sherry casks. The pairing is meant to show the craft behind Balvenie: matching the woods, pairing the flavours and allowing time for maturation.
It is known for a sweet finish.
