This is a 12 year old Balvenie single malt from Speyside, part of the Balvenie Stories series. It tells the story of Kelsey McKechnie, who is being trained by David Stewart to take over his role at William Grant & Sons. The whisky first matured for many years in ex-bourbon casks. It was then finished in new American white oak from Kentucky, which was toasted twice in Balvenie's own cooperage. It is described as having a nose of malt, sweet caramel, citrus and oaky vanilla, with ginger and cinnamon. On the palate come candied orange and lemon zest, vanilla toffee and butterscotch, with blossom honey. The finish is rich and malty.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
