Barbera d'Asti Superiore DOCG - Az. Vitivinicola Piano

This Barbera d'Asti Superiore DOCG has a bright ruby colour with violet reflections. Its aroma is frank and recognisable, with notes of ripe red fruits, cherry and plum, plus light spicy nuances and floral hints. On the palate it shows lively acidity, present but soft tannins and balanced structure. It is a wine of good substance, with a savoury finish that invites another sip. It pairs easily with regional and national dishes, including tomato-based first courses, grilled or stewed red meats, cured meats and medium-aged cheeses. Serve around 16-18 °C and let it breathe briefly to open the aromas.
