Bard Muhlenberg is a Kentucky bourbon from The Bard Distillery in the coal-mining town of Graham. It is distilled, aged and bottled on a hill overlooking the town, and it pays tribute to the miners of Muhlenberg County.
The mash bill is wheated, made from corn, wheat and malted barley. It is bottled at 52.5% ABV (105 proof) in a 70cl bottle.
The nose offers warm caramel, vanilla bean, toasted oak, dried fruit and a hint of baking spice. The palate is smooth and full-bodied, with butterscotch, toffee and dark chocolate balanced by ripe cherry, cinnamon and soft wheat. The finish is long and warm, with sweet caramel and gentle oak.
