This is a Kentucky bourbon from Bardstown Bourbon Company, made in collaboration with Napa Valley's Silver Oak Cellars and released in September 2024 for Bourbon Heritage Month. It is bottled at 108 proof (54%).
The blend brings together six straight bourbons from four states, aged between 9 and 14 years. It was then finished for 17 months in Silver Oak Cabernet barrels.
The colour is dark amber. The nose has baked strawberry, plum and roasted nuts, with cinnamon and cocoa. The palate is full-bodied and velvety, with caramel candies, chocolate-covered strawberries and raspberry jam. The finish is long, with jammy fruit, caramel cream, sweet oak spice and a light, tannic dryness.
