Barolo DOCG 2022 Ballarin

A Barolo with a bright garnet colour. The nose offers ripe red fruit, rose petal and a subtle earthy note, with spicy hints emerging with aeration. On the palate it is dry and well-defined, with tannins still vibrant but well integrated, fresh acidity and a savoury texture supporting the body without heaviness. It suits rich red-meat dishes, grilled meats, braised game and aged cheeses, and also mountain risottos; serve around 18°C and decant briefly to soften youthful vibrancy. It has potential to evolve for a few years in bottle.
