A Barolo from Bussia, presented as a red wine with a fine, direct profile. It shows faded rose, sour cherry and light undergrowth notes on the nose, with sweet spice and a mineral trace. On the palate it is dry and composed, with present but well-integrated tannins, lively acidity and a softness that balances the structure. It has a full body without heaviness and a lingering finish. Serve at around 16-18 C and allow at least an hour of opening, ideally in a decanter. It pairs with braised meats, grilled meats, game and aged cheeses.
