Barr an Uisce Wicklow Hills (70cl, 40%)

Barr an Uisce Wicklow Hills is an Irish blended whiskey in a 70cl bottle at 40% ABV, made from 21% single malt and 79% single grain whiskey. It is triple distilled and bottled without chill-filtration, with colouring added. The whiskey matures in first-fill bourbon casks from Kentucky, followed by a three-month finish in Oloroso sherry casks. Water from a family spring in County Wicklow is used to bring it to bottling strength. On the nose it shows vanilla, caramel, fruit and dark chocolate. The palate brings fruit, vanilla, roasted nuts and caramel, and the medium-length finish leaves a fruity sweetness.
