Barrell Craft Spirits Gold Label Dovetail is an American whiskey blend bottled at 70.09% in a 750ml bottle. It applies the finishing and blending method of the Dovetail range to older whiskeys, with components aged up to 25 years. Those components stayed in their finishing casks for longer, and some very high proof barrels went into the blend, giving a more powerful and robust whiskey than Gray Label Dovetail. The nose is inviting, with classic whiskey aromas and touches from the finishing casks. The palate moves from strawberry rhubarb pie to toasted marshmallow and wintergreen, and the finish brings tropical fruit. With water it turns richer, with nutty, leafy rancio notes.
