WhistlePig Old World Rye is a 12 year old rye whiskey in a 75cl bottle, bottled at 43% ABV.
Whiskeys aged in new American oak are married and then finished in three kinds of cask: Madeira makes up 63% of the finish, French Sauternes 30% and Port 7%.
The nose is caramel, vanilla and winter fruit. On the palate there is rye spice with apricots, plums, raisins, dates and honey, and the finish brings dark chocolate, winter fruit, caramel and vanilla.
