WhistlePig – The Boss Hog XII Feather & Flame Straight Rye Whiskey (75cl)

WhistlePig The Boss Hog XII: Feather & Flame is a single barrel straight rye in a 750ml bottle, the twelfth release in The Boss Hog series. It takes its inspiration from the ceremonial drinks of Mesoamerica, pairing the wild fermentation of pulque with the spiced, chocolatey depth of xocoatl. A pulque curado de cacao, infused with cacao nibs and dried chilis, was used to season barrels before the rye was finished in them. The first pour brings dark chocolate and orange zest. The palate has bright citrus, oak and cocoa, and the finish carries a touch of chili heat and fresh herbs.
