A Canadian whiskey from Barrell Craft Spirits, the second release in its Gray Label series. It is 24 years old and bottled at cask strength, 60.82% ABV (121.64 proof), in a 75cl bottle.
The whiskey is finished in Oloroso sherry and XO Armagnac casks, which add richness, fruit depth and polished oak.
The nose shows dried fruit, caramel, toasted oak, baking spice and dark sweetness. On the palate there is toffee, sherry-toned fruit, oak, vanilla and a richness reminiscent of Armagnac. The finish is long and warming, with spice, fruit and mature oak.
