Barrell Craft Spirits Seagrass 19 Year Old is a rye whiskey distilled in Canada, aged for 19 years and bottled at cask strength, 64.15% ABV (128.3 proof). It is a limited edition.
The whiskey is built from three separate blends, each finished in its own set of barrels that previously held Martinique rum, Madeira or apricot brandy. The blending and finishing were carried out by Barrell Craft Spirits in Louisville, Kentucky.
The nose is fruity, with tropical fruit, apricot and a hint of vanilla. The palate offers caramel, dried fruit and spiced rum with gentle sweetness, and the finish is long and warming, with spice and fruit.
