Aged rum distilled in Australia in 2006 under mark MAIC12, matured for 17 years, 12 in tropical climate and 5 in continental climate, in casks that previously held bourbon. Bottled at cask strength of 67.6% ABV in a 700 ml bottle, with 234 bottles available. The nose shows spice, smoke and walnut, with honey, citrus, liquorice, nutmeg and ginger. The palate is fresh, with lime, oak, dark chocolate, pepper, nutmeg, honey, sage and coriander in an oily texture. The finish is long, dry, astringent, woody and fresh, with spice.
