This is a Highland single malt from Ben Nevis, distilled in 1970 and bottled in 1988 by the Italian company Moon Import for its The Sea series. It is bottle 234 of 360, in a 75cl bottle at 46% ABV.
The nose is typically described as orange squash, motor oil, shoe polish, grenadine and pomegranate, with wet rock, liquorice and resinous honey. The palate brings honey, Campari, brown sauce and sweet onion. The finish is rather long, honeyed and resinous, with metallic and papery notes, coffee and raisins.
