An 18 year old Speyside single malt from Benromach, a sherry matured bottling from the early 2000s, in a 70cl bottle at 40% ABV. Benromach was built in 1898 in Forres, near Elgin. The nose is soft and tropical, with creamy coconut syrup, vanilla bean, pineapple skins and pear, alongside resinous oak, black pepper and a very distant hint of smoke. The palate has grapefruit oil, runny honey and coconut, turning nuttier and then oakier, with nougat and toasted marshmallow. The finish is medium in length, with charred oak, unsalted butter and clover honey, and tart notes of green grape, yellow plum and mango.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
