This is a Benromach single malt from Speyside, distilled in 2012 and bottled in 2022 as Batch 03 of the Vintage Cask Strength series. It is bottled at 59.6% in a 70cl bottle, without added colouring or chill filtration.
The whisky was matured in a combination of first fill bourbon and sherry casks. Benromach stands in Forres and was founded in 1898.
The nose brings ripe apples, stewed apple, crème brûlée and clear sherry notes. The palate shows red fruits, vanilla and chocolate with rising, spicy smoke. The finish is long, with spice, chocolate and smoke.
