Benromach 9 Year Old Cask Strength Batch 2 is a Speyside single malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 59.7% ABV. It was filled into first-fill sherry and bourbon casks in 2014 and bottled in 2023. Benromach is in Forres, near Elgin. Its whisky uses malted barley that gives a whisper of peat smoke, a style the Urquhart family set out to revive. The nose offers vanilla pudding, honey, dark sugar, toffee, cinnamon and smoke. The palate is sweet, with vanilla, smoke, oak and toffee. The finish brings smoke, cream toffee, vanilla and white pepper.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
