This is Batch 01 of the Benromach Vintage Cask Strength, a Speyside single malt in a 70cl bottle. It matured in a combination of first-fill bourbon and sherry casks and was bottled at cask strength, without chill-filtration, colouring or added sugar. Benromach is in Forres, between Inverness and Elgin. It was founded in 1898 and bought by Gordon & MacPhail in 1993. The nose has a pronounced sherry note, stewed apple, cinnamon and a touch of vanilla. The palate is soft, with creamy chocolate and orange blossom. A fine smokiness and a pinch of black pepper run through a long, harmonious finish.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
