This is a heavily peated Bunnahabhain, bottled by Berry Bros & Rudd under the Staoisha name. It was distilled in 2013, matured for ten years in a single hogshead and bottled in 2024, in a 70cl bottle. The outturn is 323 bottles.
The nose opens with iodine and sea spray, then earthy peat, a hint of mint, light green fruits and a touch of chalk. On the palate it is robust and intense, with coal, deep dark smoke and salt, finishing with subtle liquorice and almond.
