Bèrto Fernet (75cl)

Bèrto Fernet is a Piedmontese fernet from Antica Distilleria Quaglia, a house founded in 1890 in Castelnuovo Don Bosco. It comes in a 75cl bottle. Each batch starts with a fresh infusion of myrrh, aloe, rhubarb, gentian, chamomile, cardamom, citrus peel and other certified organic herbs and spices in Italian wheat spirit. Before ageing, a portion of the older infusion from earlier batches is added, so every bottle carries something of the batches before it. Local Piedmontese mint gives the fernet its character, a cooling freshness that sits alongside the bitter notes of myrrh, aloe, gentian and rhubarb rather than covering them.
