Big Peat Black Edition is a 27-year-old blended malt from Douglas Laing, bottled at 48.3% in a 70cl bottle. It closes the vintage series that began with the Gold and Platinum editions, and 3000 bottles were released worldwide. The whisky is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring. The maturation is given only as oak casks. The nose is maritime and smoky, with boat varnish, rocks on the beach and grilled meat. On the palate it is full and powerful, sweet and fresh at first, then spicier with black pepper, smoke and ash. The finish is long and strong, with sweet smoke to the end.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
