Bimber – 10 Year Old Ex-Bourbon Cask #74 50th Anniversary Kirsch Import (70cl, 57%)

This is a ten-year-old London single malt from Bimber, the distillery's first ten-year-old bottling. It was made to mark the 50th anniversary of Kirsch Import. The whisky was distilled on 29 August 2016 and matured in a single ex-bourbon cask, number 74, before bottling on 10 September 2026. The cask gave 251 bottles at 57%, each of 70cl, with natural colour and no chill-filtration. English barley was used throughout. Ripe cherries lead the nose, with honey and a little vanilla. The palate is full and round, with juicy cherry, soft malt and caramelised sweetness, and the balanced finish leaves a restrained oak spice.
