Bimber – Ex-Bourbon Oak Casks Small Batch (2020) (70cl, 52.2%)

This is a small-batch English single malt from Bimber Distillery in London, batch 02/2020, bottled on 26 October 2020 in a 70cl bottle. A total of 2,950 bottles were filled. It was matured entirely in ex-bourbon oak casks and bottled at a cask strength of 52.2%, without chill filtration. Bimber's long fermentations and traditional pot stills give a malty distillate with a creamy texture. The nose is vanilla, honey, fresh malt, coconut and light oak. The palate is powerful but round, with caramel, biscuit, grain, toffee and warm wood. The finish is long, warming and dry, with lingering vanilla and soft spice.
