Bimber Single Cask #107/1 The Spirit of the Underground - Chancery Lane (70cl)

This is a single cask English single malt from Bimber, in a 70cl bottle. It is one of 298 bottles, and the whisky has had additional maturation in an ex-Madeira cask. The bottling raises a toast to Chancery Lane station, which opened on 30th July 1900 at the junction of High Holborn and Gray's Inn Road. The nose combines toasted almonds, orange peel, toffee, resinous oak, cinnamon and nutmeg. On the palate it is oily, with charred peaches, orange liqueur, butterscotch and plump dates, lifted by robust spice. The finish is long, with chocolate orange and spiced berries.
