Cognac cask finish
This is a single cask London single malt from Bimber, distilled in 2018 and bottled in 2023 at a cask strength of 58.9%. It was finished in a cask that previously held cognac, and forms part of the New Vibrations collection bottled for La Maison du Whisky. Cask 327/25 gave 314 bottles. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour. The nose is delicate and airy, with powdery rice, fresh ginger, ivy and honeysuckle, opening to arnica, dark chocolate, candied mirabelle and barley porridge. The palate starts dense and rich, recalling Breton butter cake, then turns fine-grained. The long finish brings Espelette chilli, curry and vin jaune, then gentian, dandelion and candied pear and walnut.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
